Vision

The CETL will be recognized as a leader for creating high-impact faculty development opportunities focused on engagement, innovation, leadership, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.

Mission

The mission of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning is to support faculty by facilitating high quality teaching and learning opportunities that foster collaborative, research-based learning environments for professional development.

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning provides development opportunities for both full-time and part-time faculty. CETL offers programming to support faculty teaching and learning needs and the institutional mission. Supporting, encouraging, and recognizing teaching excellence and innovation is at the forefront of the mission.

Additionally, CETL provides a repository of teaching resources, as well as collects and distributes information about various professional development opportunities to support faculty members’ growth.

The work of the CETL team can happen on any GHC campus or instructional site. CETL will continue to maintain a dedicated physical space for faculty development workshops on the Floyd Campus.
