Admissions Requirements

Beginning Freshman

Applicant who has earned a high school diploma from an accredited high school or home school program WITHIN the last five years and not attended college.

 

Dual Enrollment

Applicants who wish to attend Georgia Highlands College while still completing high school coursework and requirements.

 

Transfer

Applicant who has attended ANY college, university, or technical school.

 

Transient

Applicant who is currently attending another college or university and wishes to attend Georgia Highlands for one semester and then return to their home institution.

 

Adult Learner

Applicants that has graduated or their class has been out of high school for more than five years. These are typically students that are 24 years or older.

 

Home-School/Non-Accredited High School

Applicant who completed high school graduation requirements under a home school program or who graduated from a non-accredited high school.

 

Post-Baccalaureate

Applicant who already holds a Baccalaureate degree and does not want to earn another degree from Georgia Highlands College.

 

International

Applicants that are study abroad students interested in traveling to the U.S. on an F-1 student visa (including students who are already in the U.S. on an F-1 student visa currently studying at another U.S. school) and/or students in the U.S. who currently hold some other type of immigration status.
